The 95 million so-called Millennials born to the Baby Boomer generation from the early 1980s to the early 2000s face many obstacles in home buying.  Due to the job market and ever rising student loan debt, many in this generation are finding it a challenge to afford an apartment, never mind save to buy a home.  The difficulties experienced by their parents during the Great Recession have led them to have more modest material expectations, taking on less debt and considering smaller living spaces.
